Music Marketing

Alternative indie was the genre my group was given for the project. In my research, I looked up popular alternative indie artists and looked for people I knew, so I would already have a base knowledge of my artists. The artists I chose were Mitski and Beach House. I went to their record label's site and went to their all about me for all the information about their history and what other artist are signed to them. When researching the artists, I looked at a variety of websites to find all the information I needed. I looked up their history, marketing strategies, socials, and any more necessary information.

When we started planning our project, we began brainstorming different ideas for the music video and presentation. We figured out our artist's name and logo and brainstormed more about how we are going to portray our artist. After that, we created a schedule to stay on track during the next few weeks. We also divided responsibilities so everyone knew their role and what they needed to do for the project.
